Helping Hands Launch Hourly Live In Care Service

14/01/2014

Award winning home care provider Helping Hands is expanding their remit of care to the Hertfordshire area. Offering tailored home care services which can range from occasional home helps to tailored live-in care, the service will include hourly visiting care across the county.

Providing a flexible care service for more than 20 years, Helping Hands offer help with housework and errands as well as specialised services like care of those with dementia. A free Dementia Family Day is to be held to celebrate the launch. Dementia Specialist Jayne Vale will be present at the launch, which is ideal for helping families to get advice and help on dealing with dementia. This can help families to cope with the condition in a loved one and help them to find the information that they need to make important decisions regarding a person’s care.

Helping Hands home care supports those who want to remain in their own homes, which can be beneficial to those suffering from memory loss and other similar conditions. Fully regulated, Helping Hands provides specialist carers who are on hand to meet the individual needs of each person, whether they want someone to drop in for 30 minutes every week or to visit more often, right up to having a full time live-in carer. Avoiding the upheaval and emotional stress of moving a relative to a residential nursing home, home care services can offer reassurance to their customers who know their loved ones are being looked after by highly trained carers. It can also prevent disrupting an individual by allowing them to remain comfortably in their own home.

Helping Hands home care has been recognised by the National Dementia Awards and the Great British Care Awards in recent years, but also deliver quality home care services for those with other conditions like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and for those who are recovering from a stroke. They are pleased to be offering their award winning home care services to Hertfordshire and are looking forward to the Dementia Family Day. It will run between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday 15 February at the Homewood Church Hall, Homewood Road, St Albans AL1 4BH.
