Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I began my care work career 15 years ago and have since experienced an unmatched level of professional fulfilment and job satisfaction, in that you are making a difference in the lives of people when they need compassion, empathy and support the most. From mid 2022 until early January 2024, I was working privately as the lead and primary carer for a wonderful lady and her family however, this sadly ended as the lady became in need of full nursing care due to significantly deteriorating health. I can provide an excellent reference from the family. I am currently on a fixed short term private care placement in Scotland and this family will provide a further reference. I am mindful that I am in another person's home and, on the most personal basis, ensuring the utmost respect and dignity. I am thorough, meticulous and conscientious. I feel it is most important to also help promote as much independence as possible. I strive for excellence at all times. I am comfortable in remote locations, which has often been the case. I am a competent driver with a clean driving licence and have my own car. I am happy to drive another car if provided. I was privileged to look after both of my parents, unfortunately with all-encompassing vascular dementia and other co-morbidities. I thoroughly enjoy my work and always endeavour to make a difference in the lives of the people I work with and, provide full assurance and peace of mind to their families. . I also possess a very strong administrative and secretarial background having previously worked in PA and executive roles, for example with Cunard and Lancashire Constabulary. I have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS and PVG to also work in Scotland. I am an avid animal lover and experienced with dogs, horses and cattle, I also thoroughly enjoy the countryside and wildlife. I am well-travelled, happy to engage in all manner of conversation and the hobbies of whomever I may be working with. I have never contracted Covid and I continue testing. ...

Good day I currently have 3 and 1/2 years domiciliary home care experience. During this period, I have worked for the same company. Prior to this I spent my years being a qualified hairstylist. My passion is spending time with people, helping to make them feel better, about themselves, their potential, abilities, above all, making them laugh and promoting their independence where possible. I have assisted with various age groups/abilities/disabilites, mental and physical. I am Scottish born. Left there as a teenager to reside in South Africa where I have spent most of my life up until almost 4 years ago when I came to England. I am a perfectionist in all I set my mind to.
