My name is Lesley I am an experienced carer who is looking for position working for a single client or a couple. I Have previous experience in looking after people with various types of dementia, Parkinson's and MS and have looked after a clients who were under going treatment for Cancer. I have also supported clients at home with Pallative care (end of life care). I am confident, friendly and easy to work with, I can work as part of a team or on my own initiative. A good cook with a high level of house keeping. I use manual and ceiling hoists as well as most of the usual aids required to assist clients in moving around. Adaptable and able to cope with special dietary and other needs. Used to dealing with incontinence and conveens. l have over 6 years professional care work experience including 2 years live-in experience supporting a lady with MS, a gentleman with Diabetes and a heart condition, a gentleman with Altzhiemers and a gentleman with a brain injury. Prior to this l worked with people with autism for 4 years, first as an ABA tutor then as outreach co-ordinator in South London for the National Autistic Society. I'm reliable, professional, fit and healthy with lots of energy and a good sense of humour. I'm a good cook, a conscientious driver and an intelligent and resourceful companion. lm experienced with hoists and slings and personal care. For the lady l supported with MS for 20 months l drove her adapted vehicle and trained 3 other carers for 3 days each. I've lived in 7 different Asian countries working for the British Council teaching English so lm happy in formal situations as well as meeting the requirements for home based care. ...
