I am 47 years old and have spent all my working life in health and social care. Having spent the last 11 years as a registered nurse, I have now decided that I wish to step back from a registered professional role, as my real joy is in communicating and working with individuals, to help them live a full and autonomous life. During my nursing career I have been involved in acute care, clinical research, and community and end of life nursing.
In addition to my nursing career, I have working in social care, providing support to adults and children with autism and learning disabilities, mental health issues, homelessness and drug and alcohol dependence.
I am a fun loving person and love being out of doors and keeping fit. I am very fond of pets, of all shapes and sizes, and I like to play the violin.
