One thing I have always known l would like to do with my life is to help people. I am applying for a role as a live in carer because essentially making a difference in people's lives is the most rewarding aspect of a career for me after 10 years of experience in the care job. I have the passion and dedication for helping people in need which I believe makes a real difference.

I gained interest into care when I had to take care of my niece who suffered from severe health conditions that made her lose her mobility. The experience gave me the opportunity to have more knowledge and skills in taking care of people and advocating for them to live their best lives irrespective of their health or mental condition. I have learnt to work with other people like my sister, nurses, doctors and social workers in planning a care routine that best suit my niece. This made me non judgemental and more compassionate towards people in need. The experience was challenging but yet rewarding knowing that she was loved and cared for.

I also developed and sharpened my listening skills and communication skills which I believe is one of the best tools to have as a carer as it provides a good rapport between you and the client. Also I have undergo many professional training in my line of work such as Manual Handling, Safeguarding, Food Safety, Autism Awareness, Medication etc.

I am reliable, flexible, patient and always ready to learn. I believe when given the opportunity I will be a great asset to your organisation.
