I am an experienced reliable and dedicated carer with a sense of humour which I believe is very important. I have worked with both the young and the elderly in a variety of settings, each requiring a very personalised approach. I have good knowledge of dementia, Parkinsons, epilepsy, autism and other disabilities. My knowledge has been gained through "hands on" experience. I have found this to be the most valuable way of learning how I may help someone. Each individual I have worked with has shown me what they need. It is always unique. There is, of course, the practical aspect but at the heart of all care is the listening and responding. Respect and dignity.
