I am looking for a live in support position as a companion/carer from October 2024. The areas in which I am seeking to be employed in are (preferably) the South or South West areas of England. I am 65 years old, in excellent health with a good sense of humour and a passion for gardening and walking. I enjoy animals, reading and cooking and have great empathy and love for the elderly. For the past 5 years I have been a live in carer with a dear elderly lady who suffered from Alzheimer’s . I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in her everyday life, taking her on outings, working with her in the garden and supporting her in her gentle lifestyle. My role evolved from an initial companion to one of full personal care as her condition gradually advanced. Sadly she has now moved into a care home.
I have no encumbrances and am free to travel. I hold a UK passport , own my own car and have a clean UK drivers licence.
