Job Description

Almost a perfect job for a care assistant - our mum who is 80, lives in a lovely little picturesque cottage in Hasketon, very near to Woodbridge. She has Alzheimer’s but is kind, loving and for the most part, can look after herself although needs help with her mobility.

We are looking for someone who can live in, to give us peace of mind overnight, in total we would be looking for around 2-3 hours a day of care to help with the evening routine. 

Duties to include:

• Taking the dog and mum for a walk

• Preparing dinner 

• Helping with bedtime

• Helping with mobility

• Companionship 

• Keeping things clean

Apart from the 2-3 hours of care in the evening and staying overnight, no other duties are required. Making this a great role to fit around another job.

Working time: 2-3 hours a day (approx 7.30pm-9.30pm) - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (plus one additional  Friday and Saturday a month).
 

Rate of pay: large double room, with all bills and utilities plus broadband and sky TV in the bedroom. Plus £400 pw. 

The candidate: The ideal candidate should have experience with people with dementia / Alzheimer’s, and experience in the care sector.
