Job Description

This placement is for a young adult male who lives In Wimbledon. We are looking for a male carer that can cover 3 to 4 weeks on and off again

The Client had a fall in 2019 that badly hurt his back.  He went in for an operation in January 2024.  He is having physio. And slowly starting to walk again with the aid of two walking sticks. All transfers while doing personal care at present are to be with Sara Steady. The physio has an exercise programme as part of his recovery. This will be guided and updated by his physio. 

The Client has Cerebral Palsy, Depression and Osteoporosis

Medication administration required

Must have a full UK or European driver's license and be willing to drive the Client's vehicle, The mobility vehicle is the size of a transit van

The client may want to be accompanied on outings and supported with all life admin, including form filling and returning posts.  Assistance with correspondence. Confidential information handled this is likely to be sensitive.

He will need help with all activities, including assistance travelling to church, social events and appointments and shopping – Please be sure to shop at Lidl or Aldi

Keeping on top of housework.

The client enjoys talking about Sports, History, Travelling and, to a certain point, politics. We are looking for someone who he can talk to and have a laugh with. His Christian faith is very important to him.

The client may need his sleep apnoea machine on at night time.  This is mainly when he is in pain.

The client's mum and dad live about an hour's drive away they are very supportive

The daily rate for this client is £135 plus being included in the weekly shop
