Job Description

The placement will pay £125 per day plus £40 weekly food allowance. Bank holidays pay 1.5 times.

The client is a lady living in a large supported-living apartment in central Banbury. She lost her husband earlier in the year and lives with dementia. She is a very active lady and enjoys going out for walks and gains some reassurance from staying active. When left to her own devices she can get bored easily. Her support involves helping her with this and navigating her day in terms of meals, hydration, personal care and medication. She needs very little physical help but does need prompting. With those prompts, she is able to lead a full life.

She was a primary school teacher and so loves children often trying to strike up conversations when out and about. Her husband was also a Methodist minister and she easily takes up the role of wanting to look after people and be hospitable.

She is aware of her condition but doesn’t dwell on it. She has two daughters who are actively involved in her care. One of them lives close by.
