Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable live-in care professional to support a lovely lady named Mary. This unique role offers the chance to provide companionship, assist with daily tasks, and support Mary’s well-being in a peaceful and somewhat isolated setting. If you love dogs, enjoy the outdoors, and are dedicated to meaningful communication, this might be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide companionship and engage with Mary in meaningful conversations, showing interest in her life, experiences, and her generation’s perspective
  • Assist with daily tasks, including light housekeeping, personal care, and any other needs that arise
  • Prepare and cook home-cooked meals, ensuring they are appropriate to Mary’s generation and dietary preferences
  • Be comfortable with having dogs visit the home from time to time, ensuring a warm, pet-friendly environment
  • Support Mary’s desire for outdoor activities, including walks or excursions, and accompany her when she wants to get out
  • Be available and willing to spend quality time with Mary, offering both support and companionship

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must love dogs and be comfortable with them visiting the home regularly
  • Willing to live in or travel to a more isolated location, embracing the peaceful setting
  • Ideally, a driver with access to a car, so you can get out and explore with Mary when she wishes
  • A genuine love for the outdoors and nature, able to accompany Mary on outdoor excursions and activities
  • Able to communicate effectively with someone of Mary’s generation, showing genuine interest in her life and experiences
  • Compassionate, patient, and eager to offer both companionship and assistance as needed
  • Able to prepare meals that cater to Mary’s tastes and the traditional food preferences of her generation
