Job Description

The placement will pay £120 per day plus a food allowance of £40 per week. Travel will be paid from home to and from client at start and end of the placement. Bank holidays are paid at 1.5 times and Christmas and New Year's Day at 2 times.

The client has a diagnosis of vascular dementia but this is at an early stage and is fully able to converse and lead an active life. We have been providing hourly care since the summer of 2024 helping him with his morning routine and taking him out in the car to clubs and activities.  He is a very easy-going pleasant man and lives in a rural location with his wife (his wife is fully independent and needs no support). The family are very supportive but don’t live close by. The village is 8 miles from Banbury and has a shop and local pub which also does takeaway food. Accommodation will be a separate cottage / apartment in the garden. The support will involve looking after the house, some meal preparation, encouraging him to be active and support with personal care. At present we are not providing support with medications.
