Job Description
Specific Job Role
This is young male client with C4/5 spinal injury due to road accident. He lives with his partner and a large dog in a beautiful house in KT4 area. Currently he is using an indwelling catheter. He requires hoisting for all transfers and SCI daily bowel and bladder care. He suffers with spasms and pain need to be addressed through massages and other treatments. He requires various forms of care: repositioning, temperature adjustments, drink and medication administration, cough relief (to prevent potential pneumonia), pain relief, hand stretches, and additional self-catheterisation sessions, standing, exercises etc. If there are any symptoms of autonomic dysreflexia, bowel care becomes needed. Also, assistance is needed to go outside for smoking.
This client needs a team of 2 carers on a daily basis. There will be a lead live-in carer and waking night carer.
Shift Pattern
With this client, you'll be engaged in a 2-week live-in assignment, succeeded by a 2-week rest period. Following 1-week rest, you have the option to work with another client for 1 week. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home. To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.
While living in with the client you will work set average hours during the day with a protected break. Overnight you will sleep in your own room.

Salary: £146.29 per day for Live-in
£16.22 per hour for 8PM-8AM Shift

Job Overview
The Carer (sometimes called a PA) will assist the client with care, daily living and moving and handling needs. The specific duties will be outlined in the Client's care plan and daily activities on our electronic visit system and will include assistance with washing and dressing (personal care), spinal injury toileting, mobility support (moving and handling), preparing fresh nutritious meals and more. Full training and support to deliver the care required will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and record client's health status.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Provide childcare services to children and elderly. Monitor and ensure the safety of the client.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Notify clients of changes in medications.
- Arrange for transportation for appointments for the client.
