Job Description

Applications welcomed for the position of part-time carer to a 69 yr old woman in her family home, living with Alzheimer’s Dementia. 

This is a private position based in a 5-bedroom family home in Camberley, Surrey. The role involves visiting a number of days per week (hours to be agreed) and providing companionship and support.

Daily activities include cooking and light housekeeping. Full board will be provided on full days.  

We are looking for:

• a dynamic and driven carer with excellent communication skills

• a carer with high emotional intelligence with the ability to adapt to the varying needs of the client

• someone who enjoys their work and is compassionate, competent and trustworthy

• someone who is experienced and has relevant training in caring for people with dementia

• someone who can support with personal care and understands the importance of dignity in care

• someone who can develop and maintain care plans and records including medication management

• a carer with a full UK driving licence and no criminal record. Must own a car.

• applicants are required to work on a self-employed basis and undertake a fully enhanced DBS check.

• non-smokers preferred.

• To be engaged on an initial trial basis, days/hours to be agreed.

• References required.

• Insurance to cover accidents/breakages - to be discussed

1st stage interviews conducted online.

2nd stage interview in-person.

Salary: £12-15 / hour depending on experience.
