Job Description

We are currently looking for a live-in carer for our client in Chelmsford. We are considering carers who would be ideally available for a 3-month period starting from 27/05 - the position is likely to go on for longer than that but this is what the daughter would like for now. We are recruiting for other roles which are shared schedules (one/two weeks on/off).

Our client lives in a nice home within Chelmsford and has a very supportive daughter. The client had a fall that required her to be admitted to hospital and she is in the process of recovering from the fall. The client is completing daily exercises to try and improve her mobility. At the moment, the client is living upstairs only. Live-in carer will be supported by a supporting carer every morning to complete personal care and the daughter visits every day to provide the carer's two-hour break and further support for personal care/exercises. 

Your role will involve supporting our client with all aspects of her personal care, meal preparation, supporting her to take her medication as well as providing companionship.  This is a wonderful opportunity to work with an incredibly supportive daughter.

Role Requirements:

• Supporting with personal care
• Meal preparation (breakfast, lunch and dinner - portions of all are available to the carer)
• Assistance with transfers from bed to wheelchair/frame, trips to bathroom et cetera
• Medication administration
• Be honest, patient and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of vulnerable adults
• Observing, and reporting on, the health and well-being of the client  (including recording fluid intake, MARs,)
• Complying with all CQC regulations
• Working in accordance with Wilson’s Care policies and values

About you:

• Live-in care experience (preferred but not essential)
• Be reliable, caring and have excellent attention to detail
• Clear and thorough record-keeping skills
• An enhanced DBS check will be required
