Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cantonese speaking careworker to work full-time or live in our client's home near Kensington (Queensway) area to assist an elderly lady who has dementia, with night tasks and companionship as agreed in the care plan. Mandarin or English speaking careworkers may be considered.

Your role would include helping the client with tasks such as:

• Providing companionship to support emotional well-being
• Essential support for personal hygiene

Requirements

• Must be fluent in spoken Cantonese - Though Mandarin and English may be considered
• Some experience working in a caregiver role. Ideally experience of taking care of dementia patient
• Nursing background is preferred
• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (which we will pay for)
• References from current or former employers
• Helpers who worked in Hong Kong before are welcomed
• Have lots of patience and understanding towards these type of clients

Working Hours

• Full time: At least 8-10 hours per day - Monday to Saturday (10 pm - 8 am) (12 am - 8 am) (12 am - 10 am)
• Live in: Work around 8-10 hours per day

Rate:

• Live in - £400-£600 a week
• Hourly - £9-£11 an hour
• Yearly - £20,000 - £30,000

Please note that this job is a night shift job and may not be suitable for everyone. Please apply if you think you are suitable. 

The carer will be provided with a private room for accommodation and food included with 1 day off per week. Salary will be based upon experience.
