Job Description

The client is a lovely lady who has sustained a lower level spinal cord injury some time ago. She lives with her husband and friendly dog in a bungalow in a lovely leafy town in Cheltenham. The couple sleep in the same room and the client needs assistance as she is partially paralysed. She requires SCI bowel care and they are vegetarian. The home has a driveway and can be accessed by car or bus easily and the town is a walk away as are country walks. The client and her husband are looking for a friendly and sociable carer who likes to be included and who can join them when they go on holiday to their home in Spain which they try to do a few times a year.

Live-in Care 

• Living in with Client for several weeks on rotation
• Accommodation provided

Pay: 

• Training is paid
• Double pay for public holidays

Job Overview of the Care/Care Assistant

The Carer or Care Assistant will assist the client with care, daily living and moving and handling needs. The specific duties will be outlined in the Client's care plan and daily activities on our electronic visit system and will include assistance with washing and dressing (personal care), spinal injury toileting, mobility support (moving and handling), preparing fresh nutritious meals and more. Full training and support to deliver the care required will be provided.
